FitNova ("we", "our", or "us") operates the FitNova mobile application (the "App") and associated digital services (collectively, the "Service").

This Privacy Policy provides full transparency into what data we collect, how our algorithms process workout and nutrition data, how our cryptographic end-to-end encrypted messaging safeguards your conversations, and how you maintain complete ownership over your data. By downloading, accessing, or using FitNova, you agree to the data practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Regulatory Compliance & Data Safety Overview

To provide full transparency to our users and regulatory review teams (including the Google Play Store and Apple App Store), the summary below outlines the categories of data we process, their operational purposes, and our strict non-sale commitments:

• Account & Authentication Data: Email address, cryptographically hashed passwords, Google OAuth credentials, public @username, display name, and optional profile avatar. Processed strictly for account registration, authentication, and security. Retained during active account membership and purged upon account deletion. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Biometric & Health Information: Age, gender, height, weight, body measurements, target fitness goals, physical activity levels, and dietary limitations/allergies. Processed strictly to calibrate personalized workout plans, metabolic rate (BMR/TDEE), and daily macronutrient targets. Stored securely in your private profile and editable at any time. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Workout & Fitness Activity Logs: Workout history, completed exercises, weight loads, repetitions, custom training routines, cloned routines, likes, and saves. Processed to track your progressive overload over time and enable public community routine sharing. User-configurable between Public and Private. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Food Scan Images & Nutrition Data: Food scan photos, detected food names, estimated country of culinary origin, calories, and macronutrients (protein, carbs, fats, fiber). Processed to provide AI nutritional analysis and maintain a visual meal history journal for future reference. Stored securely in your private account history and deletable at any time. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Encrypted Chat Messages & Voice Notes: End-to-end encrypted text messages, shared workouts, shared diet plans, photos, videos, files, and voice notes. Transmitted using unique, per-message dynamic cryptographic keys. Encrypted blobs are relayed through servers with plaintext accessible solely to communicants. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• Leaderboard & General Location: Gamification activity points, national ranking, global ranking, and broad country determination derived from account settings. Processed to foster community motivation and rank users within their country and globally. Dynamic score tracking with zero precise GPS tracking. Never sold or shared for advertising.
• In-App Subscriptions & Billing Records: Membership tier status (Free, Pro, Elite) and app store transaction receipts. Processed strictly to validate feature entitlements and manage premium access. Managed securely by Apple StoreKit and Google Play Billing with zero access to credit card numbers. Never sold or shared for advertising.

2. Account Registration & Authentication

FitNova provides secure authentication options to safeguard your account:

• Email & Password: When you register with an email address, your password is cryptographically salted and hashed using modern industry algorithms (such as bcrypt/Argon2). We never store or transmit plaintext passwords.
• Sign-In with Google (OAuth): If you choose Google Sign-In, we receive tokenized credentials from Google confirming your identity, including your primary email address, full name, and profile picture avatar. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
• Zero Exposure of Private Credentials: Your private email address and login credentials are strictly hidden from all other users. Across all community workouts, public leaderboards, and chat conversations, you are identified solely by your chosen unique @username and public display name.

3. Detailed Feature Breakdown & Data Operations

We collect and operate data strictly to deliver FitNova's core fitness, nutritional, and communication capabilities:

• 3.1 User Profile & Biometrics: When configuring your profile, you voluntarily provide biometrics such as age, gender, height, weight, body measurements, fitness experience level, body focus areas, target timeframe to achieve goals, and physical limitations or allergies.

  Our algorithms process this data to compute accurate resting metabolic rates (BMR), total daily energy expenditure (TDEE), and customized training splits. You can update or modify these values at any time directly in your app profile settings.

• 3.2 Workout Engine & 300+ Exercise Library: FitNova provides 60 to 70 prebuilt workouts, a database of 300+ categorized exercises, and an AI workout generator. When you provide a prompt or answer setup questions, the engine analyzes your experience, goals, and limitations to synthesize personalized standalone workouts or multi-day structured programs.

  We log your completed exercises, sets, reps, weight loads, session duration, and frequency to monitor your progressive overload trends over time.

• 3.3 Public vs. Private Workout Sharing & Cloning: Every workout (whether created manually from our 300+ exercises or synthesized via AI) includes independent privacy settings:

  • Private Workouts: Kept strictly confidential and accessible solely to your account.
  • Public Workouts: When you explicitly publish a workout as "Public", the routine title, exercise list, and sets/reps are displayed to the FitNova community under your public @username. Community members can view, like, save, share, and clone the routine into their own account library. Cloning creates an independent copy under the recipient's account while preserving attribution to the original creator. You can toggle any workout back to "Private" at any time, which immediately removes it from public discovery.

• 3.4 AI Food Vision Scanner & Private Meal History: FitNova includes a dedicated AI visual food scanner for nutritional analysis. When you take a picture with your camera or select an image from your device gallery:

  • Nutritional Extraction: The AI vision model identifies the food items, estimates the country of culinary origin, and calculates detailed macronutrient metrics (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fats, and fiber).
  • Storage for User History & Future Reference: To allow you to track your visual meal history over time and reference past nutrition for future fitness tracking, the scanned food image is stored securely in your private account history alongside your meal log. we store you scanned image for limited time period to serving the scanned image history, so that if you delete that image from your device gallery still you can access or see the history for limited time period and you can access your scanned history image until your acutal image in your device gallery
  • Strict Privacy Guarantees: Stored food images belong strictly to your private account. They are never publicly displayed, never sold, never used for facial recognition or biometric identification, and never used to train public third-party AI models. You can delete any food log entry and its associated photo at any time, and all stored meal photos are permanently purged if you delete your account.

• 3.5 Smart Diet Plans & Meals Library: Users can generate tailored nutritional plans through prompts or by answering 5 to 6 guided onboarding questions (dietary preferences, caloric targets, food allergies, and restrictions).

  • 1-Click Workout-Linked Diet Plan Generation: With 1 click, our AI analyzes your active multi-day workout program to formulate tailored day-by-day nutrition (including pre-workout fueling, post-workout recovery macros, and rest-day adjustments aligned with workout intensity).
  • Meals Library: FitNova provides a rich meal database where users can browse culinary recipes and log ingredients directly into their personal daily food journal.

• 3.6 End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) Chat & Voice Notes: FitNova features a secure, username-based messaging system enabling users to communicate directly without disclosing phone numbers or email addresses:

  • Per-Message Dynamic Cryptographic Keys: Every individual message, payload, and shared file generates a unique, ephemeral cryptographic key (forward secrecy).
  • Supported Encrypted Media: End-to-end encryption protects all transmitted text messages, shared workouts, shared diet plans, photos, videos, files, and voice notes.
  • No Chat Media Used for Food Analysis: Images, videos, files and location shared within chat conversations are strictly private user-to-user communications. FitNova does NOT scan, inspect, or use any media shared in chat for food analysis, nutritional extraction, or AI processing.
  • Voice Notes (Zero Collection for App Functionality): Voice notes sent in chat are completely end-to-end encrypted. FitNova does NOT collect, listen to, transcribe, or use your voice notes for any app functionality, speech recognition, voice biometrics, or internal operations. Audio is recorded on-device in real-time, encrypted before transmission, and decrypted solely by the intended recipient.
  • Zero Third-Party or Server Access: No third party, internet service provider, or FitNova administrator can access, decrypt, read, or listen to your private conversations.
  • Account Privacy Settings: there are some specific account privacy setting like who can message you , who can see your profile picture and bio , search availabiblity etc. Users can see your profile and interact with you based on your account privacy setting , you can change it anytime in account privacy setting.
  • Safety & Moderation Reporting: If a user reports abusive conduct violating our Terms of Service, the reporting party client-side forwards a snapshot of the specific reported messages to our moderation team solely for investigative safety enforcement.

• 3.7 Leaderboards & Gamification: FitNova awards activity points for completed workouts, consistency streaks, and logged nutrition milestones:

  • Two-Tier Leaderboards: Rankings are categorized into a Country-Filtered Leaderboard and a Global Leaderboard.
  • Location Privacy: Country ranking is determined strictly at the broad country level (derived from user profile selection or approximate network IP). FitNova does NOT collect, track, or store your precise GPS coordinates.
  • Display Data & Privacy Toggle: Only your public @username, display name, avatar, and total score appear on rankings. Users who toggle their account to "Private" can opt out of appearing publicly on leaderboards.

• 3.8 Technical & Diagnostic Data: We automatically collect non-identifying technical data such as operating system version, device model, app launch latency, and crash diagnostics to ensure reliability. We do not collect Apple IDFA or Android Advertising ID for marketing or cross-app tracking.

4. Device Permissions & Clear Operational Purpose

FitNova requests device permissions solely when necessary to deliver user-initiated features. You retain full control over these permissions at all times:

• Camera Permission (iOS & Android): Used on-demand to snap photos of meals for AI nutritional analysis and capture optional profile pictures. Requested only when tapping the camera button and can be revoked in device settings at any time.
• Photo Library / Storage Permission (iOS & Android): Used on-demand to select existing meal photos from your device for nutritional analysis and to choose profile avatars. Access can be restricted to selected photos or revoked at any time.
• Microphone Permission (iOS & Android): Used strictly on-device in real-time when you choose to record voice notes inside end-to-end encrypted chat conversations. Audio recordings are encrypted client-side before leaving your device and are never analyzed or collected for app functionality. Active strictly while holding the voice note record button.
• Push Notifications (iOS & Android): Used to deliver user-configured workout reminders, hydration alerts, meal timing alerts, and incoming encrypted chat notifications. Optional and fully configurable or disabled in app settings or device settings.

5. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Zero-Model-Training Guarantee

FitNova utilizes advanced machine learning models to synthesize custom workouts, calculate dietary targets, and recognize meal nutrition. We operate under a strict Zero-Model-Training Guarantee:

• Your personal data, health statistics, workout logs, dietary journal, and stored food photos are never used to train public or commercial foundation AI models (such as models by OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic).
• Any enterprise AI service providers we utilize operate under strict zero-data-retention APIs where inputs are processed solely on our behalf and are not retained or used for model training.
• Voice notes, photos, and messages sent in chat are end-to-end encrypted and are never processed by AI systems or used for food analysis.

7. Membership Tiers & In-App Billing Terms

FitNova offers three transparent membership tiers:

• Free Tier: Provides essential access to standard workouts, the 300+ exercise library, and baseline activity tracking.
• Pro Tier: Unlocks advanced AI workout generation, active workout-linked diet plans, and enhanced nutrition logs.
• Elite Tier: Unlocks all premium features, unlimited AI food scans, advanced progress analytics, and specialized programming.

All subscription payments, tier upgrades, and renewals are handled directly through Apple App Store In-App Purchases (StoreKit) or Google Play In-App Billing. FitNova does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers or financial account credentials. Transactions are governed by the respective store's privacy policies:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing cycle. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Apple ID Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions settings.

8. Data Sharing & Non-Sale Commitment

FitNova does not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or health information to third-party advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.

We share data exclusively with trusted operational service providers bound by strict contractual confidentiality agreements:

• Cloud Infrastructure & Databases: Certified cloud providers (e.g., Google Cloud Platform / Firebase) to store encrypted records, user meal photos, and run backend services.
• Authentication Infrastructure: Google OAuth and secure token services to authenticate user identities.

9. Data Storage, Security & Encryption

10. Data Retention

We retain your profile data, workout logs, nutrition records, and meal history photos for as long as your account is active. When you delete a specific food log, its associated photo is deleted. When you delete your account or request data erasure, all associated records and media are permanently purged or irreversibly anonymized in accordance with our deletion timelines.

11. Account & Data Deletion

FitNova provides a direct, simple in-app account deletion mechanism. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data directly within the application at any time:

• In-App Deletion Path: Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account inside the FitNova app. Or simply email us on support@fitnovaapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" from your registered account email.

Immediate Data Deletion: Upon your confirmation, your account is closed and your profile information, biometrics, custom workouts, nutrition logs, stored meal history photos, and chat metadata are permanently deleted from our active databases.

Important Subscription Notice: Account deletion does not automatically cancel active third-party app store subscriptions. Subscriptions are billed and managed directly by Apple or Google. To avoid recurring billing charges, please cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings prior to deleting your account.

12. International Privacy Rights

Depending on your geographic location, you enjoy statutory privacy rights:

FitNova utilizes aggregated first-party diagnostic analytics solely to monitor app stability, crash rates, and interface speed.
